How We Made This Segment

"Venice Art Walls" was produced using a Sony HVR-A1U 1080i HDV Camera, a Sennheiser E825S Handheld Mic, a Sennheiser ME66 Shotgun Mic, and a K-tec boom pole provided by SmogTV's sponsor, Bandpro. The material was then digitized to a G-raid harddrive through Final Cut Pro at HD Pictures & Post, and edited on a G-4 laptop at home in Marina Del Rey in full rez HDV. It was then output from the original for the web by HDPP. Kimber H. Landers organized the shoot, coordinated the production and post production. Juri Koll directed, produced, and edited the project. Kristina Apgar interviewed the subjects for SmogTV. It took 1 day to shoot, and a couple of days to edit. We ended up spending a few bucks for pizza and parking in Venice (it was on a Saturday in July) - all told, about $25, if you include gas. -Juri Koll
